Porsche has taken the wraps off the 2012 911 Carrera Cabriolet as well as the 2012 911 Carrera S Cabriolet and will hit the showrooms in Spring 2012. The 2012 Porsche 911 Carreracabriolet is equipped with a 3.4 liter boxer six-cylinder engine capable of churning out 350 hp whereas the 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera S cabriolet has a 3.8- liter boxer six-cylinder DFI engine that can produce 400 hp. Further, the 911 Carrera cabriolet can go from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds with top speed of 177 mph. The 911 Carrera S cabriolet can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in a mere 4.1 seconds with top speed touted at 187 mph. The company states that both 911 cabriolets consume less than 10 L/100 km on the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC).
